Welcome to Down to Earth Healthcare Training Institute.

My name is Earth-Shameenah Reddick, MSN, FNP-C, and I am a Family Nurse Practitioner with over two decades of experience in healthcare, including years of service as a registered nurse and advanced practice provider.

This institute was founded at the intersection of personal experience, professional growth, and a deep commitment to quality care. As a Family Nurse Practitioner who has advanced through multiple levels of nursing, I have seen firsthand how proper education, confidence, and compassion shape the care patients receive.

​

Our CNA program is equally intentional. Having worked across various healthcare settings, I understand the impact that strong training—or the lack of it—has on patient outcomes. At Down to Earth Healthcare Training Institute, we educate with purpose and passion. We focus on hands-on learning, confidence building, and preparing students for real-world healthcare environments.

​

Offering CPR training is deeply personal, having lost my sister to cardiac arrest. In the moments before emergency services arrived, no one around her knew how to intervene. She went several minutes without chest compressions or other immediate life-saving measures. While we may never know whether earlier intervention would have changed the outcome, we do know that CPR saves lives, and that minutes matter.

That experience reinforced my commitment to ensuring families, workplaces, and communities are equipped with individuals who are trained and confident enough to act in critical moments.
